Transparency & Rating Guidelines

Welcome to Rezendo.de! Honesty and transparency are the cornerstones of our work. On this page we explain how our rankings are determined and how we handle third-party reviews.

  1. How We Rate: The Rezendo Score (Ranking Parameters)

Rezendo.de is an aggregator portal. This means: we do not conduct our own physical product tests in a laboratory.

Instead, we analyse the market and evaluate a wide range of publicly available data sources to save you the time-consuming research. Our goal is to create an objective overall picture in the form of the Rezendo Score (1 to 100 points).

Main parameters of our ranking (pursuant to §5b(2) UWG):

When we present products in the form of best-of lists (rankings), the placement and the Rezendo Score consist of the following weighted parameters:

50 % Expert Press & Professional Tests: We summarise the test results and ratings of renowned specialist magazines, industry-specific blogs and established test institutes.

30 % User Feedback: We evaluate the sentiment of thousands of customers who have shared their opinions on major online shops and review portals. We extract the most frequently mentioned strengths (pros) and weaknesses (cons).

20 % Technical Data & Value for Money: We compare manufacturer specifications in relation to the current market price. Products with an above-average high price receive a deduction, while cheaper products receive a bonus – measured against the typical average price in the respective category. In addition, this sub-score improves as a product ages, since the value for money increases as market prices decline. In the first months after market launch, neither an age bonus nor an age deduction applies – this ensures that a brand new product is not prematurely penalised.

Through this methodology we offset the subjective weaknesses of individual tests and provide you with a well-founded meta-analysis.

  1. Information on the Authenticity of Customer Reviews

Since user feedback (see point 2) is an important component of our score, we regularly cite or aggregate customer opinions from external online shops.

Notice pursuant to the Omnibus Directive (§5b(3) UWG):

We do not adopt third-party reviews as our own. Since we only evaluate and summarise customer opinions from the internet, we have no technical means to independently verify whether the authors of these reviews actually purchased or used the relevant products.

We do not verify the authenticity of the customer reviews we aggregate. We rely on the filtering and verification mechanisms of the respective source shops, but cannot guarantee their effectiveness.

  1. Copyright and Source References

In our meta-reviews we may cite brief excerpts from specialist magazines (right of quotation pursuant to §51 UrhG) in order to substantiate our assessments. We place the greatest importance on the correct attribution of authors. The respective sources and (where available) the exact references can always be found directly next to the quote or in the sources section of the respective article.
